Our Current Teaching Series
Youth Group Soup Fundraiser
Join us for a soup lunch fundraiser on Sunday, November 2 immediately following the church
service. Funds from this luncheon will go to support our students as they raise money for their
upcoming Winter Retreat in Michigan. The suggested donation is $6-$7 per person.
Campfire and Hymn Sing
The Boehm family is hosting a Campfire and Hymn Sing at their home on Wednesday,
November 5. The evening will start at 6:30pm. Bring your lawn chair or blanket and a snack to
share. Apple cider and hot chocolate will be provided. See you there!
Men’s Retreat
Our annual Men’s Retreat is on Friday and Saturday, November 7-8 at Country Lake. Mark your
calendars and plan on attending. This retreat always proves to be a wonderful time of spiritual
encouragement and challenge. Reserve your spot by contacting Pastor Dan Horton.
Partners’ Meeting
The church elders will lead a brief Partners’ Meeting immediately following the church service
on Sunday, November 9. This meeting will provide ministry updates. All church partners are
encouraged to attend.
Ladies’ Favorite Things Party
Celebrate the season by sharing your favorite things with others! This year’s Favorite Things
Party is on Sunday, November 16 at the church building. The luncheon begins immediately
following the morning church service. Bring three of the same favorite things to share. The value
of your favorite items should be between five and ten dollars.
Marriage Enrichment Evening
Married and soon-to-be married couples are invited to an evening of encouragement and
teaching. Tom and Robyn Scott will be teaching on the important role of a helpmate in marriage.
Desserts and coffee will be served. The evening is scheduled for Friday, November 21 at
6:30pm.
Hanging of the Greenery
It’s that most wonderful time of the year and we need your help decorating the church for all the
Christmas festivities. On Sunday, November 23 all are invited to lend a hand with trimming the
trees and hanging the garland. We will get started immediately following the morning church
service. Many hands make light work!
New Partners Lunch
Are you interested in joining Encounter Church? Come to our New Partners’ Lunch on Sunday,
October 26 to learn more about the history, beliefs, mission, and values of our church. This
luncheon will begin immediately following the morning service.
